The over/under for Saints’ wins in 2011 is 10. They were 11-5 last year and they did a good job of bringing in more talent in the draft and free agency. Still, the Saints have a really tough schedule this year as they are going to have 8 games against teams that won at least 10 games in 2011. I think I would pass on making a bet on Saints’ wins in 2011, as I think the wise guys in Vegas have the right number.
The Saints went 13-3 during the regular season last year on their way to winning the Super Bowl over the Colts. Despite possibly having a Super Bowl hangover the schedule doesn’t look too daunting. I have to think that the Saints are going to win at least 11 games in 2010 so I would have to make a small bet on the over. They are also 10-1 to win the Super Bowl and that also might merit putting a few bucks on it.
This is way too low for the Saints who have really reloaded on defense. I think the Saints will battle the Panthers for the division crown in 2008. Take the over with confidence as the Saints are ready to roll again in 2008.
I know it’s a little too late to make this bet. But if I could, I would take the over despite how awful they looked against the Colts last Thursday Night. The defense will be better as it is hard to judge a team by how they play against Indianapolis. Also, the Saints offense will be fine.
