The New Orleans Saints sign DE Bobby McCray
The Saints have signed DE Bobby McCray to a 5-year, $20 million dollar deal. McCray played in 14 games last season for the Jaguars and he made 18 tackles, defensed 2 passes, sacked the QB 3 times and he forced a fumble. He has now played in 61 games in his NFL career and he has 94 tackles, defensed 5 passes, has 22 sacks and he has forced 7 fumbles. It appears that the Saints overpaid again for a player who has had only one good season in his career.
This is a copycat league.So the Saints can move Charles Grant to tackle and have Will Smith and Bobby McCray to rush the quarterback…..Add Villa,who will captain the defense, and Randell Gay at CB,and I say ,the Saint’s have put themselves in the thick of the NFC South race for 2008…..Go Saint’s
