The New Orleans Saints acquire placekicker Olindo Mare from the Miami Dolphins
The Saints have been looking to replace John Carney for a couple of seasons now because he wasn’t kicking enough long field goals and now they’ve finally done it. Olindo Mare played in all 16 games for the Dolphins last season and he made 26 of 36 (72.2%) field goals, including a 52 yarder which was his longest of the season. He also made all 22 of his extra points. This will help the Saints as they won’t likely have to punt as much because of Mare’s strong leg.
