Saints blow out the Falcons 31-13
The Saints offense was just too much for the Falcons to deal with. Drew Brees completed 21 of 30 passes for 349 yards and 2 TDs. Deuce McAllister had a decent game with 20 carries for 71 yards (3.6 ypc) and 2 TDs. Reggie Bush carried the ball 5 times for 24 yards (4.8 ypc) and caught 3 passes for 21 yards. Devery Henderson was outstanding with 4 receptions for 158 yards and a TD. Joe Horn added 3 receptions for 61 yards. Terrance Copper caught a Hail-Mary at the end of the first-half (48 yard TD).
The defense couldn’t stop the Falcons from running the ball as the Falcons rushed for 281 yards on 45 carries (6.2 ypc). The Falcons couldn’t pass to save their lives as they only completed 9 of 24 passes for 52 net yards!
The Saints have taken the lead in the AFC South with a 7-4 record.

Opportunity dangles. Philadelphia could easily knock off Panthers on Monday Night stage. If Saints and fans can slow niner runs enough to go 8 and 4, two game lead in division with four games to go, you gotta like your chances. A first round bye is obtainable. At least my 8-8 prediction would prove to be under instead of over. Sweeping the dirty birds was great, but you can’t expect the opposition to constantly drop passes every week. This is going to be a tough game, but destiny beckons!
I agree with you Dreadgator. It’s all in the Saints hands now. They just have to take care of business this week and maybe the Eagles can help them out a little bit.
