Drew Brees leading Saints
Drew Brees looks like he never hurt his shoulder. After years of watching Aaron Brooks, Saints fans view Brees as a breath of fresh air. Brees is a leader that has a QB rating of 92.8! Brees has completed 90 of 137 passes (65.7%) for 1,063 yards with 4 TDs and only 2 INT. The Saints offense has been very efficient so far this season and Brees is the glue that holds in all together.
The efforts of the defense is the key to winning the super bowl, not the offense. The defense must continue to improve in stopping their opponents offense no matter what. Stop praising the offense and begin concentrating on improved defense. The saints lost their first game because the defense gaved up 21 points. The defense must have a do or die mentality in playing all of it’s games. They must march on that field by taking no prisoners. The defense must continue to be stingy by not giving up an inch of ground. Defense determines the outcome of all games, not the offense.
Yeah, well, whatever. The defense will not go from last to first in one season. The offense is further along and must contribute more in the short term if Saints are to make playoffs. Colsten is the real deal, Horne is clutch, and hopefully Henderson back soon, Reggie breaks loose, and what the hell, maybe figure out how to set up a screen pass.
The defense is playing way over their heads. There is not a pro bowler on that defense. The linebacking corps is a bunch of rejects from other teams. So I think the offense is the key to the Saints, because they’re going to have to score to win.
there are no pro bowlers on the defense but scott fajita is on of the top linebackers in the beginnig of the season. they only played 4 games and u say the offense is going to half to score alot to win?? only 2 games did they “have to” put up 20+ to win, so what about the others???
Fajita also is a cheap shotter. That was uncalled for what he tried to do to Steve Smith….he should be suspended for that.
I hope the defense can hold up against the Eagles. We lost Roman Harper for the season which definitely won’t help. I hope Payton has the team well prepared.
Even if he has them prepared, will that make up for a lack of talent on that side of the football against the high-powered Eagles offense.
